Contract Client: Joint Chiefs of Staff
Description
After fifteen years and countless hours in the air, you have finally been selected for command of a Fighter Squadron, one that is now on call as part of a lead AEF wing. One of the most important responsibilities of your new command is the protection of your troops. You must make the critical AT/FP decisions to prepare, equip and train your people to detect, deter and defend the squadron against terrorism. You must address your squadron's deployment into a potentially hostile environment, including unforeseeable hiccups related to research, planning, movement, location and all other squadron activities—through the completion of your objectives. You must deal with these—as well as other issues and challenges—knowing that the lives of your troops could hinge on every decision you make.
You are being deployed to Ruvenia, a small, emerging democracy with a destabilizing group of fundamentalists who don?t seem to like peace, tolerance, or elections. Your mission: Train with the Ruvenian Air Force as a demonstration of support, prepare for potential operations against insurgents, and prepare for support of hot-spot conflicts in the AOR. Your decisions determine the fate of your troops and command as terrorist cells test your security posture. At pivotal junctures within the Deployed Air Command program, you may peek in and see what each threat cell was up to while you were making critical command decisions. Did you do enough to deter them from attacking? Or did they locate a weakness and exploit your error(s)? The threat of imminent terrorist attacks will challenge you and help you prepare for real-life AT/FP decision-making.
As with all WILL Interactive Virtual Experience Interactive Learning Software (VEILS®) programs, you become the lead character in a full feature, full screen interactive movie. The Deployed Air Command VEILS® program has mission-critical decision points and feedback screens. Screens feature printable links to additional information as well as a Chapter Progress Bar. AirField Map, Threat Assessment and Intel Briefs provide critical guidance.
