Living, working, and achieving excellence in a Warrior Transition Unit
Creation Date: 2010
Contract Client: U.S. Army Medical Department
Description
The Mission to Heal sheds light into the personal and professional challenges of living and working in a Warrior Transition Unit (WTU).
In The Mission to Heal, you play as five different characters connected to a WTU. Each character explores the challenges of the unique WTU environment: a young Warrior in transition with severe combat stress/PTSD struggling to understand and take ownership of his recovery, a Family Member trying to understand what is wrong with her husband and how to successfully manage her husband's—and her own—behavioral health; a Social Worker experiencing compassion fatigue and challenges to his resiliency; a Nurse Case Manager experiencing difficulties with burn out and managing boundaries; and a Squad Leader dealing with his biased decision making and adapting his NCO instincts to a health care mind-set.
