What is SOC 2 Compliance?
SOC 2, developed by the AICPA, is a voluntary cybersecurity compliance framework for service organizations, outlining guidelines for managing customer data across five pillars: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
As part of the AICPA's Service Organization Control reporting platform, SOC 2 aims to safeguard customer data, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate risks through established processes. It doesn't prescribe specific controls but provides criteria for maintaining strong information security, allowing flexibility for companies to tailor practices to their objectives and operations.
